Company Name: INKWELL MANAGEMENT
Description: We are searching for a part-time paid interns who wish to have a rewarding and educational experience at a bustling NYC literary agency. This experience includes: learning about the submission and auction process with publishing houses, discussions of the latest developments in industry trends and guidance on furthering a career in publishing.

Interns will assist with the reading and evaluation of queries and manuscripts and help with administrative and research tasks which are designed to better understand the workings of a literary agency. Interns will also contribute to various projects within the agency involving foreign and subsidiary rights, contracts, royalties and social media. They will be exposed to a wide variety of literary genres and styles and will have the opportunity to learn about the journey that a manuscript takes from query letter to publication, and beyond.

Requirements: Qualifications

Candidates should be articulate with a high level of interest in the publishing field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Location: Hybrid (NYC-based)
